  • 2006 Tercero Cuvée Christie - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (3/7/2009)
    Dinner at Memphis. Bright and vibrant notes of crushed raspberries, red plums, cherries, and a touch of garrigue. Terrific with dinner (I had the meatloaf while she had the hanger steak) but without food, the wine showed less acidity and more kir liqueur and fruit rollup notes. Juicy midpalate and full of personality. 89-90 points. (89 pts.)

Thanks for the tasting notes! I think they are spot on for where this wine is right now . . . I opened a bottle on Sat night at Pinot Provence and had it with my rib eye as well as with the Chocolate Lava Cake - the latter really worked well!

Kind of an event - a dinner together with my 4 brothers and parents - the first time the 5 of us have been together for some time . . .

Will post separately, but we had a few Kistler chards, a killer 91 Monty, a mag of 2001 Carlisle 2 acres . . and boatloads of food . . . A good night all in all!
