TN: 2006 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Home Ranch (USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley)

  • 2006 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Home Ranch - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (6/12/2009)
Deep ruby rim, black center. Deep mocha and cassis on the nose, toasty oak, spice and a touch of broccoli in the background. The label mentions mint; I suppose there’s some mint there too. Full bodied on the palate with smooth tannins and good presence. The oak isn’t quite integrated yet; still youthful. (91 pts.)

Thanks for the note. I only have 3 of these, and I don’t think I’m touching them till next year.

Good note. Craig’s Cabs are underrated. The Reserve is unreal.

It’s very good; I think I could have done at this stage with a little less oak. We’ll see if in a few years it integrates properly.

+1 doug. It has a lot of big nice in your face fruit which is exciting, but the oak makes it a bit rough on the edges.
