Not the Big Dog…but hey…it’s only tuesday! Decanted for a couple hours…67% CS, 33% Merlot…this is DA BOMB! Right off the bat, killer dry extract of licorice and graphite…SILKY smooth pureness…with intoxication floral and exotic spiced dark red berry fruits…cherry, raspberry, plum jelly…still very youthful with a good dusty spiced tannic grip…yet that velvet glove thing. There is really no signs of age from 8yrs ago since I last had a bottle…this has integrated and balanced itself to SE levels…just KILLER savory mineral dryness, kirsch liqueur, sweet exotic spices and perfect wood integration…it has plenty of structure for more age…and tbh…I kind of like it better than the last couple SE’s I’ve had(03/09). Total class wine here! (97 pts.)

Thanks for the review! Out of curiosity, is that a Grassl glass? I like it!

Yes…1855.

Great review - I’m in the market for 1 bottle if you have an extra.
Thx

Specifically 06, or any vintage? That was my last 06…and I pretty much drink these, not sell. Wally’s has some I believe.

Thanks!

Day two…tons of briny black olive…fruits have darkened…mocha…GOD DAMN…that dry graphite spice and seamless balance to perfection!
