Note on always controversial wine. I thoroughly have enjoyed both bottles I’ve had thus far. But I’m going to let the rest rest for a while to see how this develops. I’m not good at projecting so I do not know for certain whether this will evolve and some of the alcohol and tannin will relax, but I hope so!

Bought six. This is the second we consumed. Will hold the next four until at least 2012 or so. This is a big wine. Very complex nose. Stewed tomatoes, salt, sweet spice and nuttiness, but an incredible amount of fruit and pepper. A touch of heat. Hopefully that will subside. Palate is tannic and burly. Lush berry and fruity. Chocolate. And the finish is strong and long with smoky chocolate. Really delicious, but it definitely could use some more time in the bottle. (92 pts.)[/list]
