2006 Rhys Alesia Syrah Fairview Ranch - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (3/29/2010)
Initially, this was thin on the palate with light fruit and a short finish. After about 30 minutes this really deepened and the dark cherry and blackberry emerged and the finish lengthened. This is drinking well now, but will reward a year or so of patience. (90 pts.)

I think you mean “tight”, not “thin”. Thin would imply that it seems watery, lacks concentration. Correct?
Nah Wes, it tasted real thin at first, but really muscled up after just a bit of time. Just kept putting on weight as the night went on. But right at first, for like 15-20 minutes, tasted a bit thin.
I think it could be considered thin against other versions of Fairview Ranch Fruit. This is the style I hope the Rhys guys were going for as I really love it, can’t wait to try the estate Syrah’s.
