TN: 2006 Rhys Alesia Pinot Noir San Mateo County

Opened my second bottle of the '06 Alesia San Mateo last night.

Pale crimson color, nose composed of high-toned red fruits (cranberry, strawberry), faint dry soil and floral notes. In the mouth, the red fruits continue and are intertwined with a subtle creaminess and suave tannins that coat the palate and create a long, pleasing finish.

Very enjoyable overall with seamless balance and the agility to match with many foods; such a better showing than the first bottle!

Thanks for the note Brett. One of the better $30 Pinots I’ve had.

I second that emotion. Hits my flavor profile just right.
Nice job, Jeff and Kevin. You guys rock. [cheers.gif]
