Beautiful nose of tar and roses. Structured , but supple and surprisingly approachable. Medium bodied but layered and deep. This has the sweetness of Barbaresco, and a hidden power that I look forward to developing in the next decade plus. Long on the back end with some menthol and anise in the background. This has a level of quality that is almost unfair at this price point. Lovely, youthful, and with a bright future. Gripping fine tannins clamp down at the end, and if you don’t mind this, it is no crime to drink this now. I will wait a few years before my next bottle. 92pts (92 pts.)

went to go snag a bottle of the '06 and they were sold out so I bought the '05 :slight_smile:

Nice note Todd. Best QPR in Piedmonte IMO.

Had a bottle of the 9.097 last week that was young but fantastic.

Some day in a couple of years, we’ll have to organize a horizontal tasting of the different 06 lots!
