2006 MacPhail Pinot Noir Pratt Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (5/7/2015)
Color shows age. Some browning evident. This is certainly better than my first bottle a few weeks ago. Pretty nose of deeply fragrant wild strawberries and bright ripe cranberries.Palate shows a bit of ripeness but overall quite nice. Once it settles a bit there is some nice dimension and buoyancy. It shows some crushed stone, rubbed leather, white spring flowers and sassafras very well. Tannins seem well behaved and acidity spot on. Finish is long, true and precise. A very nice showing on a bottle that costs me $22. (90 pts.)
