2006 Juslyn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Spring Mountain District - USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District (2/22/2010)
Nose was slightly floral with some ripe strawberry, pencil lead, and soy sauce.
Big acid on this wine, food friendly. A bit young as expected, but I still like confirmation by drinking a bottle early on. Cranberry, cherry and nilla wafer are present with a slightly spicy finish, more towards the side of tobasco than black pepper. Tannins present & silky, but light. Nice length on the finish, high acid helps.
90-ish wine right now, but aging potential gives it a boost in my rating. Definitely will be a great wine in 5-10 years, probably more. (93 pts.)
