2006 Boxwood Winery Boxwood - USA, Virginia (12/26/2009)
13.5% alcohol. A surprise. Dark red color. Nice nose of slightly herbal black fruit and spicy tobacco. In the mouth, refined and quite pure, with strong black fruit, a hit of spice, good acidity, and a solid finish. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish. But this is quite well done. B+
