TN: 2005 Pine Ridge Oakville

I got my bottles this morning and opened one up. This is a very nice Cabernet, good fruit, low acidity, soft tannins, easy drinker. Very nice dark fruit with tobacco leaves notes and nice finish. It lacks a bit in midpalate, but I still a very nice wine. Got it for $37.99 so it is a solid buy in my book. 91+ points.

Wow, great price for a solid, consistent Napa Cab producer. Seems like a winery that’s overlooked with the history they’ve had in that valley. Thanks for posting, will look for this one.

It’s a great Napa cab for under $40. Pine Ridge is solid all round.

I grabbed a case of this direct from the winery and from the 2-3 bottles I’ve opened Otto’s notes are spot-on. I was part of the Pine Ridge wine club for years after my first visit to the winery back in 2005 and have enjoyed just about everything from them. I have since canceled almost all of my wine clubs, though, since many of them (including PR) are available locally at retail.
