2005 La Sirena Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (11/16/2009)
Opened at 4:30. First taste a little over an hour later. Barely noticeable fruit on the nose. No fruit on the palate. Sour and drying. OK, wait another hour. More of the same. Can both of the La Sirena bottles (the other was a Syrah) I have tasted be exactly the same? Hopefully this is another flawed bottle and not the “style” of these wines.
Maybe the joke’s on me. All I know is that I won’t be ordering any more of these wines until I’ve had at least one that blows me away…in a good way this time.
