2005 Jean Daneel Chenin Blanc Signature - South Africa, Coastal Region (7/26/2009)
Decanted 2 hours, served at 12C. Consistent with previous note and a better showing tonight. Lovely bouquet of grilled toast, beeswax and lemon, and a full bodied, complex and layered wine in the mouth. The oak is very present here and may be too much for some although for myself I find it very well balanced with the mineral lemon acidity that this wine offers. 50+5+12+16+7=90. (90 pts.)
