2005 Jean Boillot & Fils Beaune 1er Cru Clos du Roi - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru (5/28/2011)
Drinking very well. Lively but not overpowering acidity gives this wine lift as well as some tangy minerality. Plenty of fruit, mostly of the dark cherry variety. A hint of rare meat on the palate. Terrific and every reason to believe it will get better. (93 pts.)
