2005 Fifty Row Syrah - USA, California, Napa Valley (6/26/2009)
Nice wine. Nice color. Not tannic. This is a full-bodied syrah. Smooth going down.A bit of oak, and some fruit . Drinking well now, even better in 2012. (90 pts.)

Never heard of this one, a little info, por favor?
Bob Salant, a member of my temple/shul/synagogue (depending on where you live) has been telling me about his wine for several years. He finally went live with his syrah. It’s $30 retail from the winery.
I tasted his $60 cab last night at Iron Horse. For $60 it was over-priced. It needs a few years to age.
The syrah at $30 is a keeper and good QPR. I have 2 bottles that I’ll hold off re-tasting for at least a year. If you need his info, I can give it to you (before any other local WB retailer). ![cheers [cheers.gif]](/uploads/db3686/original/2X/0/0ff9bfcdb0964982cd3240b6159868fbdf215b1a.gif)
FYI, sometimes Philip at Iron Horse doesn’t charge corkage. Tonight was one of those night. Disclaimer, I’m a semi-regular.
