  • 2005 DuMOL Chardonnay Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (6/12/2009)
    Transparent golden yellow. Toasty nuts and tropical fruits with a hint of citrus (somewhere between grapefruit and lemon) and a touch of vanilla. Apples, honey, lemon, some pineapple, with a nice burst of acidity and bitter minerality on the finish. A very tasty CALIFORNIA chardonnay.

I thought the 2005 RRV was very satisfying and enjoyable every time I had it, but I consumed my last one about a year ago. I wish I had saved one, but I couldn’t keep my hands off them. Sadly, DuMol has increased their prices so much in recent years that I am an infrequent buyer anymore.
