2005 Domaine Alain Michelot MSD Les Charrieres 1er - This was shut down hard. When am I going to learn my lesson with 05s? Five hours after opening and decanting it was just starting to stir and show a bit of life but I was leaving and left the bottle with my friends. Though brooding you could tell this is going to be a nice wine. Lots of oak, but lots of fruit extract too.
Thanks for the note. This producer is not uncommonly profiled in writings on the Cote d’Or but I rarely see TNs on his wines. Saw some bottles of 01 NSG at retail recently but did not bite. I would be interested in others’ experiences with M. Michelot’s wines.
