2005 Clonakilla Shiraz - Viognier - Australia, New South Wales, Southern New South Wales, Canberra District (7/8/2010)
I was looking forward to trying this as I had been holding it since release. The nose was typical of an Aussie shiraz with blackberry, black cherry and a bit of tar. The palate was flat with some more blackberry and just a hint of spice. But not much more. The finish was likewise short and flat. Well made, not flawed, but uninspiring wine. Think this was somewhere near $50. So not worth it at that price. (88 pts.)
