2005 Château Belgrave - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Haut-Médoc (3/5/2013)
Not sure why I bought a $39 Haut Medoc, but it drinks like a mid level St. Estephe. Creamy oak and west bank cab profile. I did not like the prior 2 bottles a few years ago as they were too sweet and CA like (and closed), but this has changed. A long stain of sediment down the side of the bottle, it is very nice in the nose- Bordeaux all the way. No mistaking for anywhere else. I’m very happy and glad I have more.
I’ll let it set in the decanter. Midpalate is strong too. (92 pts.)
