2005 Carlisle Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley (7/15/2012)
Well balanced. Fruit without overpowering fruit. Spice with pepper. Originally popped and poured but after 2 hours more fruit emerged with even a bit of apparent sweetness. No classic signs of aging. Moderate finish. Very dark color. The alcohol was 15.6%. It was not apparent on the palate due to the balance and spice, but my head definitely noticed it after 2 or 3 glasses. (91 pts.)
