2005 August Kesseler Riesling R - Germany, Rheingau (12/21/2009)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over 2 hours –
NOSE: green pear intermixed with sugary florals and some diesel. not complex.
BODY: medium bodied; pale golden yellow color.
TASTE: tart; round; slight petrol; apples - red delicious and fuji; sweetness is about Kabinett+; 11% alc.; a bit watery tasting; most of the action is on the front palate; finish falls off quickly. Not bad for $10, but wouldn’t buy again.
