2004 Penley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Phoenix - Australia, South Australia, Limestone Coast, Coonawarra (8/7/2011)
This wine is in a perfect drinking window right now. Black and red fruits are in the forefront with the tannins seemingly fully resolved and smooth. A really nice mid-weight Cabernet for use with steak and duck breast. I’ve had several bottles with wine crawling almost all the way up the cork, so I would recommend drinking this wine in the near term before the corks fail them. (89 pts.)
