2004 Novy Family Wines Syrah Garys’ Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (4/3/2009)
Decanted one hour, consumed over the following two. Rich purple color. Smoked meat, bacon fat, tar on the nose. Boysenberry, blueberry, smoke on the palate, all framed by a wonderful vein of citric acidity. Nice complex finish. A lovely bottle of wine.
