TN: 2004 Marcassin Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard (USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast)

The day before the 4th, so I asked LC if she wanted to sit in the backyard apropos of nothing and drink this. Incrediblly refined, and right up there with the 2003. Dried fruit, not a hint of sweetness anywhere. Spices (nutmeg/cinammon) but very subtle. Some hint of lovely cedar materialized over the 2 hours we lingered. 14.4 % abv. Absolutely outstanding stuff and worth every penny I paid. (97 pts.)

Whoa … way to go. Never had that wine … guess I never will [berserker.gif]

Glad you LOVED it. So what do you think the future for this wine is? Hard to imagine a 5 year old pinot reaching its potential.

Happy 4th! Come by tomorrow if you guys are up for it. Lots of kids … lots of carne asada … and wine … and beer … and a pool … and probably a little mayhem.

Jason

I’ll be over to sample the last of it in a few minutes to see f your note is accurate. [berserker.gif]

Way to live large jefe.

Cris… sorry if we didn’t hear you knocking… you should have come thru the side gate…

Jason and Cris… I have one more bottle of this… and while I can’t promise I will bring it to Houston’s or something, I’ll try to swing it so that youze both will get a taste at least…

This is one of the big lists I wouldn’t mind being on…at least for this bottling…
