TN: 2004 Dönnhoff Schloßböckelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spätlese

  • 2004 Dönnhoff Schloßböckelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (11/18/2011)
A hint of smoky development beginning to show on the nose. It reeks of sweet limes, honeysuckle, talc and rockmelon. It is rich, sweet and textured with real power and presence and a shot of tart lime holding everything in check. It is extremely long of flavour and went well with some barbecued chilli squid.

Thanks Jeremy, you can’t of stopped there ?

Mike,

Going to a Grand Cru Burg dinner tonight so just a couple of glasses with lunch, trying to keep myself tidy.

Just opened a magnum of 1993 Domaine des Chezeaux Griottes-Chambertin to take along tonight, it’s looking very promising.

Best Regards
Jeremy

Sounds good. Should I ask Ponsot? Magnum [thumbs-up.gif]. Cheers Mike
