Seriously good serious second wine. Decanted for an hour. Very deep color, clear to the rim. A touch of alc on the nose, with tobacco, cedar, and cassis/blackberry dominant. Full on the palate. Tannins give backbone and make it refreshing, balancing the fruit. I am ‘normally’ sensitive to “green”, and was on the alert here – I really have to dig around, and come to the conclusion that there is just a touch, which adds to the spectrum.

I split my order of this with a pal. I believe he’s had all of his – this is the first of my lot, and at 13,90 a pop I wish I had backed up the truck.
