Interesting find at LWS. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this blend. Lots of earth on the nose with a slight hint of barnyard, along with mixed black fruits, truffle and old furniture. Nice nose, which shut down slightly after a few minutes, then came back alive after 1-2 hrs. On the palate, mixed black fruits, medium weight and a good amount of tannin balanced by med+ acidity. Interesting spicy texture and medium finish. Very nice wine, especially at the $35~ price. I think it’s in a slight awkward place though – somewhat of a teenager that might need 5-10 more years to resolve tannins and show more secondary qualities. Very interested to try the PN after this.
