TN: 2002 Soter Pinot Noir Beacon Hill (USA, Oregon, Willamet

  • 2002 Soter Pinot Noir Beacon Hill - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton (6/20/2010)
Consistent with last notes - this wine is in its prime, with mostly resolved tannins and just enough acidity to keep its ample fruit in check: lush raspberry laced with OR funk. Big, but beautfullly balanced. A crowd pleaser.

You and Melissa sent me a bottle of this…around 5 years ago was it? Very nice, I recall - one of the best new world pinot noirs I’ve had.

Best,

N

I’m a big fan of this producer and this vineyard. I’ve had a few 99’s that were absolutely fantastic and clearly built for the long haul.
Thanks for the note [cheers.gif]
