    Starting to darken in color, yet still has a brite shiny gold to it. Wonderful smoky match strike, hazelnut, apricot nose. Still very young in the mouth…almost tingly with citrus acidity. Has all the classic flavors of apricots, peaches, hazelnut butter, dried tobacco, vanilla oak barrel spice…signature Alban Roussanne match strike smokiness. Still has some sharpness on the finish at times…very rare to see a SQN wine NOT in perfect balance. If blind, I would guess Alban Roussanne, instead of SQN, because of the slight imperfection. But still…this wine is aging quite well…and tasting super right now. Too bad this is my last bottle…would be happy to cellar a few more for the years to come. (94 pts.)

What is the break down here? Viognier/Roussanne/Chard???

50% roussanne, 31% viognier, 19% chardonnay; predominantly Alban vineyard, but some Stolpman; 13 months in barrel

Boy that’s great news, Whispering E is the best SQN white I’ve tried.
