    The last time I had this wine was four years ago. I gave it 88-89 points and wrote that it would be better in a few years. Little did I know just how much better it would be. Notes of cassis, black cherries, espresso bean, campfire, and graphite. Still nicely structured after all these years. Balanced on the palate with a fine beam of acidity. Drinking extremely well now (just be sure to decant for sediment) but it still has years of life ahead of it. (91 pts.)

Drank the same wine this last weekend and echo your notes. Drank it blind with 03 Neal Zinfandel and an 09 Fisticuffs. The Fisticuffs edged it out but all 3 wines were very good and made my Cali Cab loving friends happy.
