again. let the record show. a maturing cellar is a joy. a piece of beauty. a payoff of days gone by and dollars spent in youth.

2002 LHL Sec. I thought this was premoxed with sherry notes at first. but the sherry was sorta pineappely. pineapples showed up, sherry was gone when 20 minutes of air hit the wine. palate was great from the start which made me think this would be a winner. lemon custard mouth. the nose became creamy lemon and wet wool and honeycomb and chalk.

so good now and a joy to know I bought a case before astor moved and had like a 30% sale.

1993 Beringer.
so the recession sucks. but a mixed case of 1993 and 1995 Beringer PR for around 50$ each was a great january strike.
for a snotty, arrogant burghead…give credit to the simple(admittedly simple) joy of aged cab. is Beringer McDonalds or Mercedes. It is mass market, but it is yum yum yummy. let thisnote note it is ready. it is pencil shavings. it is balsa wood. it is plums. it is yum yum yummy

I have a bunch sleeping nicely, and have been thinking about cracking one.

sure there is more ahead
with some air the nose is creamily full and maturing
the palate is off dry
and still young
but open and goodness

Say what you want about Beringer, but I love their Reserves.

the wine is quite good.
it was a steal at 50$ per

i find aged beringer always is an empty bottle with friends
