2002 Domaine Trimbach Cuveée Frédéric Emile Riesling Alsace
From, imo, France’s best riesling producer. Slutty all over, but exuding the pedigreed class and coolness, that rounds up this stunningly sexy wine. Candied lemon and mild spice cake notes. At 20 years old, this is so good. A-/A
There are times when I prefer the 2002 CFE even over the 2001. Such a great year for that wine.
Great note!
Great note. Was pondering what to open with pork/applestew tonight, think I have my answer.
Fun to read notes on 2002. When young, it was so steely and austere, amazing the transformation after two decades.
