2001 Weingut Anton Finkenauer – Kreuznzcher Bruckes Riesling Auslese (Nahe, Germany)
9% alcohol, popped and poured, AP number 7 710 034 415 02. A quiet Tuesday night at home, so I opened this. Bright yellow, the nose is fresh lemon pie and alive with energy. The mouthfeel is clearly off-dry but superbly balanced by acidity. The waves of bright white stone fruits are carried really well by the spritzy. Excellent balance, no crime to drink a bottle now but I guess that this will age well for another decade or two. Cheers!
