This is my last bottle of the 01 Musigny. It is probably the best of three purchased on release and clearly the least evolved.
Without knowing what you are drinking there is no way you would know this is a 20 year old Burgundy. This has delicious dark berry and red cherry, fruit, pristine balance, fine acidity and great length. There are still some unresolved tannins. But there is a hint of underbrush and spice on the finish. This is both powerful and elegant. A very nice grand cru Burgundy!!
