TN: 2000 Quinault

This is the far and away the best bottle of Quinault from any vintage that I’ve ever had. A beautiful nose with currant, graphite and dark cherry. A very lush palate, it’s a joy to drink…slowly. Maybe a 93 point wine.

Thanks for the note. It reminded me that I have a bottle of this that my wife and kids gave me for father’s day a few years ago.

Tried a bottle Saturday night. I can’t quite share the enthusiasm. Good, not great. A little green on the palate held it back. My bottle also seemed like the wine needed a little more time. Very tight and didn’t really loosen up in the glass or open bottle.
