Decanted for 90 min and enjoyed over the next 2 hours over Christmas dinner.
Wonderfully expressive nose of soy sauce, mushroom, forest floor, and dried cranberries. On the palate, the fruit is now taking a back seat to the aforementioned tertiary qualities that dominate the nose. Tannins are plush and forgiving. There is ample acidity still. Finish lasted for a minute plus. Dad turned to me after his first sip and remarked “Oh, this is good.” Cheers.
