2005 Jadot Gevrey Lavaux St. Jacques- A deep red color, smooth and not tannic but really not showing much in the way of aroma or flavor. Not even on day 2. I hope it’s in a closed phase but really a disappointment right now.
2004 Williams Selyem Weir Vineyard-A bright red color, really soft smooth mouthfeel, a lot of bright fruit, bramble mixed berry and cherry. kind of short finish but a very pleasing wine right now. The softness indicates may not age too much more so drink up.
We tried the 10 Weir this weekend and it was Mel’s favorite wine there.
