1999 Noon Eclipse - Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale (12/31/2009)
Port-like nose of super-ripe blackberry fruit and alcohol with hints of cardamom and clove. Big rich warm and silky in the mouth. A slight bite of alcohol on the finish, but very appealing. Goes beautifully with my pork chops (with paprika, garlic, and sauteed onions). Clearly not for those who don’t like big Aussies. Sadat X would give this a seriously high FUF! I could drink this all night, or at least until I pass out. 
Terrific long blackberry finish! Amy and Eli like it very much as well. My last bottle of the 99, but I have plenty of 2001 and 2002 on deck. (93 pts.)
