Great bottle with a great cork. Lovely red fruited nose with mushroom, fresh herbs and earth. Wonderful satiny texture, with great freshness and energy. Medium volume. This is food friendly and friendly in general: a youthful, vibrant and very classical wine drinking at its peak, lithe but not light.

That’s a much nicer cork than the bottle I had about 2 years ago. Beautiful color, too. I called it a case study in right bank flavors, but found the finish a bit clipped. Sounds like you had a lovely bottle.
As an aside, the 2015 Beau Sejour Becot is a good deal more modern but more than a little delicious in its own right.
I have a couple of these laid down. Appreciate the data point.
