A pretty good '97 Cab last night.

1997 Laurel Glen Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Mountain - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Mountain (3/6/2011)
Deep and vibrant purplish color that speaks not of the wine’s age. Darkish fruit takes a back seat to pretty cedar and leather notes. Seems to have found a good spot now and will likely drink well for a few more good years. Glad I reloaded recently. I don’t drink a lot of CA Cabs anymore, but I’ve come to find that I really like Laurel Glens with some years on 'em. Especially that '89 from last spring!

I plan to open the 1996, soon.
Yeah, me as well on the '96.
Got some '99s to check out soon too.
Finishing the 1996 we opened last night with pizza tonight.
The 96 is delicious.
A great traditional Sonoma wine, for still just $30.
Thanks for the note Dennis!
Just picked up a few of these at TCWC for $25 based on your note.
The 96 was very good. I’ve recently had the 85 and 86 as well. I like them all
Good move. Hope they show well for ya.
Gives me some hope for my 1996s. Does anyone have the skinny on the 1999 or 1982 vintage?
No formal tasting note, but Cyrus was pouring the 1982 by the glass back in November (!!!). It was good. And I mean “good” in the way that if you were here, you would hear my voice drop an octave and my head nod as I said “It was gooood.”
Thanks Ethan for the note on the '82. I can’t believe that Cyrus was pouring that bottling by the glass and I had no clue working only two block away.
