TN: 1996 Remoissenet Père et Fils Griottes-Chambertin

Popped this one last night along with some of the usual suspects in attendance.
Also a heavily sulfured 2009 Boillot Clos Mouchere, another very nice 2005 Vilmart Cellier D’Or and a 1995 Barolo from Conterno Fantino.

Good to very good, but really dominated right now by the '96 acidity. Problem is that the fruit is slightly roasted, tired, like it’s not outliving the acid. Beautiful nose, though, that almost forgives any other blemishes. But in the end, a nice, if unremarkable Griottes. Not sure time is making this any better, at least, not for this bottle.
