1996 Domaine Laleure-Piot Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Vergelesses - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru (9/5/2013)
Visual: brownish maroon color, semi-transparent, but cloudy at the core, translucent edge with pretty serious bricking
Nose: red and blue fruits, hints of cedar, blueberries, twigs
Palate: Red/blue fruited, strong acids, slightly candied taste (that went away after an hour or so), a hint of tar, integrated oak and a longish, smooth red fruited finish.
A nice wine, but not a “Wow” wine. Some nice secondary notes have emerged. There is enough fruit left to balance the acids. Solid B.
