TN: 1994 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne

  • 1994 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (9/11/2023)
Re-corked in 2022 and in very good form. Some white mushroom development along with pure white peach and lavender aromas. It is gently tropical. The palate is rich and layered and cut by Corton's steely line. Each sip unveils something else interesting and length is excellent. Wonderful aged white Burg.

you’ve really proven how these so called off vintages come around after a couple decades. These wines were written off by many of us.

just received today. Wow, have the prices increased

new owners aren’t shy.

In 1994 they did especially well in challenging conditions.

If we had had a lot of rain in the week before harvest, this year might have turned out a bit like 1994.

Just had this last week, and it was exceptional. We had an ‘89 just before it that was clearly either on the decline, or an off bottle. Both directly from the chateau.
