    Brought to dinner at The Herbfarm. Decanted for 3 hours. Bricky light ruby color. Intoxicating nose of sweet sap, tar, camphor, violets, and a healthy dose of porcini mushrooms. Woodsy and autumnal on the velvety palate with a beautiful delicate turn of sweet strawberry fruit and subtle grip on each sip. Fully resolved tannins and just enough acidity to refresh. Long whispery finish of forest floor, tar, and raspberry. A classic bottle, showing beautifully in the midst of its drinking window. (93 pts.)

Great note; I had it a few months ago, it seemed mature like yours, but did not feel in any rush to open the 2 remaining bottles.

Yes, I agree, this wine could go for many years yet. Ah for the foresight to have purchased just a few more bottles, as this was our last one.

One of my favorite vintages (along with the '85) for current drinking, and I agree that it still has time left in the bottle.
