1989 Pierre Gonon St. Joseph - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Joseph (12/13/2009)
Interesting nose of roast beef, saddle leather and a touch of violets. Tannins are fully resolved. Blueberries and a sense of minerals on the palate. Has good grip and excellent length. (93 pts.)

Cool to see you on CT!
The first bottle of this I had was awesome but 2 or 3 more since then have failed to rise to that level.
I’ve had 3 really good ones. One that someone brought to a dinner was not so good. Not blaming him of course as there is bound to be bottle variation.
I’ve had mixed results, but the good ones are delicious.
