2020 Dirty and Rowdy Rose Syrah
Dark pink in the glass, and initially tight, this opened up with some lovely citrus fruits and crazy acidity. It was surprisingly complex but very refreshing.
1986 Sociando Mallet
Paired fantastically well with some A5. Cork took a bit of work to retrieve but the wine was great, very much alive. A bit of cassis on the nose with some weight on the mid palate which gained strength over a bit of time in the glass. Lots of earth and savory notes, with a very long and satisfying finish. At peak, but no rush. Will save my last bottle for a couple years.
