TN: 1983 Graham Porto Vintage (Portugal, Douro, Porto)

1983 Graham Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (2/2/2024)

Little bit of a plastic taste; tastes and looks quite young, despite having a soaked cork. Maddeningly, not nearly as good – or as advanced – as the bottle I swooned over back in Sept. 2023. This bottle actually came across as young, and being in need of at least another 10 years in the cellar.

Wow. This was excellent. Mature, and at peak — comes across more Tawny than it does VP. Not heavy, thick, or dark. Scary-easy drinking. Superb!

Zachys was blowing these out for like $45/bottle back in November. Really glad I loaded up on a bunch.

Wow!!
