Had this Bordeaux with our Thanksgiving steak. The wine had an assertive and beguiling aroma of herbs and fruit. On the palate, it offered lovely, persistent, mouth-filling tastes of cherry fruit and herbs. Long finish. Wonderful stuff!
A Randy tasting note! Glad the wine performed for you; it can be absolutely delicious. Thanks for posting
Great note Randy. I went in your direction and had a 1982 Canon (we had brisket).
Oddly, Carolyn took a couple of sips of this and announced that she wanted a California CS instead. Usually she’s very fond of Bdx with some age on it. Go figure. Anyway, I opened her a bottle of 2008 Gemstone Yountville, which was very pleasant, but not remotely as appealing to me as the Latour à Pomerol.
