TN: 1980 Domaine Michel Voarick Corton-Languettes

Didn’t matter how much I tried, I couldn’t spin the capsule. Not left or right handed, not clockwise or anti-clockwise. The wine was very fresh however.

Very savoury. The nose shows some pine needle sap, smoked meats, chestnut and iron and earth. The palate is compact, intense and linear. It is a little skinny through the mid and has strong grip at the tail. There's some balsamic lift from a touch of V.A.

Thanks, I thought that I must be the only punter whose old burgundies don’t have spinning capsules!

I had no great luck with Voarick, both a 1978 Corton Renards and a 1979 Romanee St Vivant were volatile and quite oxidized (7 to 5 years ago)
