- 1979 René Cacheux-Blée Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru (8/3/2014)
The 1979 Les Beaumonts was orangy brick to the rim, while the nose was classic and deep, with layers of complex, prunes, truffles and showing a bit of dirt from the forest floor. The palate had amazing acidity fully enveloping the now-aged—but still delicious, truffled and gamey - fruit. Ending with a great, long, finish that just lingers. A fantastic experience!
